Practice
Do it now
A few minutes without the video: spot the mistake, apply the fix, pass the challenge.
- Mistake
- You force bass with a tight throat, so it hurts and your voice goes hoarse.
- Fix
- Lip bass first, then soft throat bass: open throat, resonance, not pressure.
- Challenge
- Climb the ladder: 10 quiet lip bass, 10 medium, 10 soft throat bass, following the 5 rules. Pain or discomfort? Stop right away.
Steps
- Warm up first — never start bass cold.
- Do the 'yawn': open your throat and feel the space.
- Do 10 lip bass at a whisper, then 10 at talking volume.
- Do 10 soft throat bass: resonance, no pushing.
- Sip water, 10 minutes max in a row. Pain means stop now.
