Practice
Do it now
Spot the mistake, use the formula and do today’s task — it takes less than the lesson.
- Mistake
- Listing dry facts and dates instead of telling a story.
- Fix
- Facts inform, stories sell: who you were → what happened → who you became.
- Challenge
- Write your 30-second story in three sentences. Then, if you're up for it, expand it into 2- and 5-minute versions.
Steps
- One sentence: who you were before music.
- One sentence: what happened that changed everything.
- One sentence: who you became and what you give others.
- Swap dates and numbers for emotion and a vivid detail.
- Reread it: does it have a conflict, and is it true?
