Practice

Do it now

Spot the mistake, use the formula and do today’s task — it takes less than the lesson.

Mistake
Describing yourself too broadly (“I make music”) and getting lost among millions.
Fix
Category + differentiator + for whom + result = you become the only choice.
Challenge
Build your positioning into one sentence and run the Google test: 0–100 results means you found a niche; millions means too broad.

Steps

  1. Write your category: beatboxer, producer, teacher?
  2. Pick 1–2 differentiators: method, audience, result, story, style.
  3. Name a specific group of people and the result they get.
  4. Combine: [category] for [whom] who [difference] so they [result].
  5. Google it and keep narrowing until the results are few.
